Raise the Consciousness at Purchase (RTC)United States
Jan 16, 2024

the hearing was completely unprofessional. I am at risk of facing fabricated charges against me (despite being the one physically assaulted) and potential expulsion if I do not attend such meetings. however, during the hearing, the reporting officers who were assigned witnesses decided not to attend, even after two attempts of contacting them. There were no consequences for their absence. Nobody was present except the organizer. They claimed it to be a technical issue, despite them being contacted multiple times.

here is what the college said through an email: "It has come to our attention that a technical issue occurred during your hearing this morning where the report writers/University Police Officers were not able to appear. This is not usual procedure for a hearing at our College. Instead, as a student in the disciplinary process you would have the right to question the report writers as part of the hearing."

because of this evidence was not shown and discussed and there was no opportunity for me to do any sort of questioning. hence the hearing cut short.

the questions (by the organizer/host) that were prioritized against me though were:

"did you destroy the property?"

"did the assaulter fall or did you put your hands on him?"

even though i addressed and demanded the college before to have a proper hearing because of how all of this was being handled, it was ignored and was told that it would still take place.

and when it actually takes place (early in the morning) nobody shows up.

the college rushed and gave me absolutely no time (only 1 day) to process and make a decision regarding whether the hearing would proceed, with or without the reporting officers. it is important to note, it can impact the severity of my punishment.

keep in mind the zionist who assaulted me has not faced any consequences and still has his position in that college. he is not even obligated to show up to the hearings. (where is the justice?)

when i adressed my concerns about this, i was told to stop yelling even though i wasn't, and on top of that i was interrupted constantly.

the reason why I am writing this is because the way all of this is being processed is extremely poor and unfair and needs to be exposed.

i later on demanded more time to make the choice and decided that the hearing would be rescheduled.

it will be held on january 22.

i am not giving up.

again thank you all for the support and for those who have reached out in concern. i will keep you guys updated.

i will keep on fighting. viva viva palestina.

much love,

cj

Words like "freedom," "justice," "democracy" are not common concepts; on the contrary, they are rare. People are not born knowing what these are. It takes enormous and, above all, individual effort to arrive at the respect for other people that these words imply.
