Stop the potential euthanasia of Kangaroos at the Pelican Waters Southern Lakes project

The issue

Queensland Goverment has granted permission for up to 25 male kangaroos to be killed as part of the translocation management plan for the Pelican Waters Southern Lakes project.

According to Biodiversity Australia 4 have already been killed. Out of 58 kangaroos counted, males over 30kgs have been tagged to potentially be euthanized.

Since the initial count, the figure of 58 kangaroos has decreased.

Taking into account the predicted 10-20% mortality rate of the translocated kangaroos, the number of survivors significantly drops to between 16-18 animals.

This is the cruel truth of translocation that no one wants to talk about and us as a community have a voice for these fit, healthy and innocent animals.

These facts have been accquired from Biodiversity Australia.

Sign the petition to stop this cruel and horrible act.
