We the undersigned petition Sunderland City Council to reduce the Speed limit along the A690 from the Holy Rosary Church to the A19 Roundabout, and along the Herrington to be reduced from 40 to 30 miles per hour. 

Our community of East and Middle Herrington is split by a fast moving road.  A child has already been ran over this year at the Board Inn trying to get home from school.  We want everyone, especially our children and elder to be able to walk to school, our shops, and park safely.  We demand Sunderland City Council listen to our concerns and reduce the speed limit to 30 miles per hour.
