We the undersigned petition Sunderland City Council to place Pelican Road crossings at the existing crossing sites (or other sites deemed suitable by the council)

When trying to cross at the existing crossings the traffic is too fast moving, and it is impossible to tell which road the cars will take around the Board Inn Roundabout.  To cross you often have to dash across the road to avoid cars.  One school boy has already been ran over walking to school this year.  We demand Sunderland City Council provide safe places to cross on these busy roads.
