Dear Fellow Citizens of the Town of Brookhaven, As you well know Brookhaven is commonly referred to as Crookhaven! 

The Government that controls the town of Brookhaven have taken so much away from us and repeatedly beat us over the head with tax increases they have left us no choice. Below are some examples:

1. The property taxes constantly go up.
2.  While attending the State of the County Address we learned that the Bellone administration is projected to increase water costs by an estimated 75 million dollars. Where will this revenue be going? To whom and for what?
3. The cable prices rise and we are not given any option as to which cable company we prefer. Brookhaven will not allow FIOS in our area. Who is being paid off to keep another television provider from coming into Brookhaven? 
4. They Shorten yellow lights for revenue and it killed many people.
5. The revenue generated from the Red Light Camera Program originally went into General Fund but now goes into the Suffolk County Police Fund. None of the intersections with these cameras have been signed off by a licensed engineer, and the 30 dollar surcharge is a felony.

As you are all aware of the red light situation we are currently facing. That being the proven shortening of the yellow lights and decrease of safety for revenue increase.

All these items that i stated above effect each and every citizen in this township. That being said i now implore you to join me in this petition to address the red light situation. To address the choice in what we can and can not watch. We can not utilize the TV company of our choice. We have been left with no options but to Fight!

Please sign this petition so we can get to the bottom of how this money is being allocated and how much is being pocketed. We want to know where the money is going from all these increases and why our county is still bankrupt? We also want to know who is getting paid off to keep another TV provider out of our area?
