Dr. George & Company Don't "Keep Stan"; Present Anthony Nemati

David BerkowitzMiddletown, NJ, United States
Aug 23, 2014
The new coach to be voted on is Anthony Nemati. Unfortunately, our "Keep Stan" campaign has failed without an explanation as to "why" Dr. George and company felt the need to go in a new direction after 11 successful years of South Eagles' Hockey.
Deja Vu all over again...Mr. Nemati was the same coach named before his name was pulled off the Agenda a couple of hours before the June Board meeting. It does not seem like much progress, but we were heard. For that we should thank the board for at least slowing down the process.
Of course, you can still contact the board via emails and/or go to the board meeting on Tuesday, August 26th to ask questions or give comments.
Thanks again for your support.
Go South...Dare to Soar!
Where have you gone Dennis Jackson?
Best,
David Berkowitz

ANTHONY NEMATI
Hockey: Anthony Nemati named head coach at Rumson
By Chris Hachey/For The Star-Ledger
on November 15, 2013 3:35 p.m.
Anthony Nemati was recently named the head coach at Rumson-Fair Haven.
Nemati has been involved in ice hockey in the Shore area his whole life, having played at Christian Brothers Academy from 1995-1999. He then played ice hockey at the club level at Monmouth University and has coached at CBA.
"I have been teacher at CBA for 10 years and have been a coach for their ice hockey and lacrosse programs for several of those years," said Nemati. "One thing that CBA emphasizes is academic and character development. As the head coach of RFH’s hockey program, a major goal of my coaching is to ensure that the players are excelling in the classroom and on the ice. I will also stress the importance of being strong ambassadors of the program in the school and in their community. I am looking forward to working with a great group of student athletes."
Nemati will be taking over at Rumson for Chris McCafferty.
He has also coached the New Jersey Rockets AAA U16 National Team, based in Bridgewater, as well as the Red-Bank based Generals Bantam and Peewee travel teams.
Having been around the area, Nemati was very familiar with the Rumson program.
"I have always had a ton of respect for the RFH hockey program," he said. "They have had a history of great coaches and a strong list of accomplished players. The community has always been very supportive of their athletic programs so it is an exciting program to be a part of and continue to build."
As a coach and a teacher, Nemati is most excited to help convey and instill his passion for the game as well as putting an emphasis on education for his players.
"I am looking forward to working with a great school, community and student body," said Nemati. "The RFH hockey program is very well respected in the state and it is an honor to have this position. As a coaching staff we will do our very best to create a winning environment in the classroom and on the ice."

Tony Nemati is joining the NJ Rockets organization for the 2012-2013 season. Coach Nemati grew up playing youth hockey in NJ for the New Jersey Devils Youth and American Eagles Hockey clubs. He went on to play for Christian Brothers Academy for high school and served as captain for Monmouth University's ACHA DII team. After college, Tony went on to coach for various clubs in NJ at various levels while coaching Christian Brothers Academy's Junior Varsity team for several years. Under Coach Nemati, CBA's JV team has enjoyed significant success. Coach Nemati has currently accepted a position as Head Varsity Coach for Manasquan High School. Coach Nemati's emphasis on discipline, respect, and hard work on and off the ice is a major part of his coaching philosophy. He looks to bring his knowledge and passion for the game to the Rockets organization and hopes to help players reach their maximum potential.
