Board of Education Meeting - Your Board Did the Right Thing

At about 2.45 PM today the Agenda for the Board of Education changed! The Board saw and heard your support and decided not to decide on South's hockey coach just yet. Thanks to all of you that is huge progress from where we were just two days ago. The Board instructed the Superintendent to conduct a fairer competitive hiring process for the best available coach, and judging from your overall support, and the wonderful testimonials at the meeting tonight, there is a high probability that the Board will in fact, KEEP STAN!. Thank you to the Middletown Board of Education for upholding their code of ethics in a professional, orderly and dignified manner. The members consideried all sides and realized that the process in choosing the South hockey coach needed a fairer "do-over". Especially thank you to all of you who let the sun shine in on what had become an ugly, unjust and secretive process. Dare to Soar! Go Eagles! Go South! Warmest regards, David "Berk" Berkowitz
