Cowlitz County Prosecutors need to prosecute Cassandra Kennedy for making false rape accusations against her father. Thomas Edward Kennedy lost 9 years of his life because Cassandra wanted to "Get even with dad" for divorcing her mom. So she claimed that he raped her three times since she was 11 years old. For 9 years he was labeled a child rapist, wrongfully imprisoned, and only now, because his daughter just feels SO GUILTY, is he going to be freed. This man's name is forever tarnished, his life for the last 9 years hijacked, all because of one angry little girl.

Sue Baur - the prosecutor in this case states that they should not prosecute poor, defenseless Cassandra (whom destroyed her fathers life), because it would potentially discourage other women from coming forward to report sexual assaults. What Baur isn't saying is that by not prosecuting Kennedy, she makes it perfectly legal to make up damaging accusations of sick, horrifying crimes for sake of getting even.

Men - your choice in this is clear: Sign this petition to defend YOUR rights. Your right to NOT be accused because you angered a lover. To not live in fear that your daughter may land you in jail for 10 years because you chose to get a divorce, or didn't let her go to that party. That ANY woman is granted the power to do irreparable damage to your life and livelihood by bringing false accusations against you and getting away scot free for it.

Women - If you feel sexual assault is not a matter to be tossed around lightly, to be used as a weapon to "get even" with a man, then sign this petition. If Kennedy, an admitted liar, is allowed to go unpunished for bringing this false accusation against her father - then real crimes will be looked on with skepticism and disbelief. Sexual assault is a disgusting crime that harms thousands upon thousands of victims - and their pain and torment is made light of by a angry little girl who wanted to get even with "daddy."

Citizen & The Law: Sue Baur should not be allowed to pick and choose what crime to go after for sake of political correctness or gender-bias. A law was broken. We, as a nation of laws, need to respect the law and abide by that law. To allow someone to make up a story just to get vengeance, and subsequently dismiss any possibility of culpability or responsibility sends a message that it is okay for anyone to do this, to anyone else, at any time. That the law, and subsequently nearly a decade of an innocent man's life, can be dismissed for the greater good of protecting a hypothetical individual from coming forward about a hypothetical future crime is sick, twisted, and a perversion of the law.

Sue Baur, and the rest of the Cowlitz County Prosecuting office, need to be sent a message. Obvious gender bias and selective prosecution of the law is morally reprehensible, and needs to be corrected. If we cannot get Sue Baur and the CCP to listen to reason and prosecute when a crime is committed, regardless of the gender or circumstance, then we will dedicate ourselves to the removal of Sue Baur and members of the CCP - calling for their removal from any elected office, and disbarment from the legal institution.
