Extra Extra read all about it! Can you believe that after ten years of negotiating with China they have agreed to settle! Taishan faced a contempt  judgement in 2014 for failing to show up. The news featured this story about them caving in and paying the victims and attorneys a 248 million dollar settlement , however the Judge that is presiding over this long drawn out toxic travesty has the last say as to if he agrees. They also have it in the agreement that both sides will ask the Judge to purge the contempt judgement from the record. The settlement is limited to property damage. Plaintiffs and others seeking a claim wont be able to seek punitive damages or costs connected to any personal or bodily injuries. Attorneys fees cant amount to more than 30% percent of the settlement, or $74.4 million, and costs cant exceed 3 percent, or $7.44 million. I disagree with all of these stipulations, after all the toxic health effects and hell the victims have been through, it's time they hold the bag! Read the link below, nothing has been finalized!
