Rename Robert Lee Moore Hall

The University of Texas at Austin is an institution that stands for change and embraces its range of diversity. UT Austin was even one of the first college campuses to embrace the movement regarding the removal of Confederate statues from the campus grounds. However, one racially divided presence still resides here- the Robert Lee Moore building, UT's home to a variety of math and science classes. It's no lie that Moore held a prestigious title here at UT graduating from here at the age of 18 with a B.S and then returning later in life to spread his wisdom. On the contrary, Moore was also known for his obvious disregard for students of color. On multiple occasions, Moore made known his stance against students of color and his approval for the idea of segregation as well as speaking to students of color in an unprofessional tone, telling one African American student that he would only allow him a "maximum grade of a C" because of his race. As a university that embraces student diversity, the name Robert Lee Moore is a shame and disgrace to this campus and should thus be renamed to something that celebrates the beautiful color and diversity found on this campus.
