It has recently come to our attention that Steve Godbold has been unexpectedly dismissed.

The undersigned students and alumni of Queensland College of Art, Griffith University, petition to have technical staff member Steve Godbold immediately reinstated to his previous position of employment at the university.

Steve's contribution to the university, and particularly to the photographic cohort, is difficult to put into words. His presence as a knowledgeable technical assistant with extensive history and involvement in the industry has provided staff and students in the university with invaluable guidance. Steve has always been an involved part of the university community, making effort to keep familiar with incoming students and to form professional relationships to last throughout and beyond the length of their degrees. Steve is always helpful, warm, and welcoming, with a great understanding of creative people, he always showed immense patience and support for students.

We demand that Steve Godbold be immediately reinstated to his previous position of employment at Queensland College of Art.
