Petition updateSTRENGTHEN the MDC Animals Bylaw to curb the overwhelming dumped and stray cat populationsA meeting with Mayor Taylor

Aug 13, 2023
Thank you so much for signing our petition.
We have a meeting with Mayor Taylor next week and we are desperate to be taken seriously. We need to show our leaders that the residents of Marlborough want to see change.
Numbers mean everything to councillors, so please ask friends, family and workmates to show their support.
If you have teens we believe that having them sign and then comment on the petition with the year they will be able to vote would really get some attention from our elected officials.
Reasons to sign:
- The welfare of these dumped and stray cats. Animals are breeding and dying harsh, slow, painful deaths. The council dump is one of the worst areas in the region for this.
- Save our birds and lizards who are easy prey for an exponentially growing cat population.
- Protect our pets from the increased risk of disease and fighting wounds.
- Vets are finding that Marlborough cats are breeding all year round now.
- Less cats digging up your garden.
