Right now, across the country, hunts are preparing their hounds for the hunting season by going ‘cubbing’. Cubbing is a truly barbaric blood sport, where hunts target vulnerable fox cubs to train their hounds to kill.
Of course, inexperienced fox cubs are easy prey for hunters driven by such bloodlust. The packs, mostly made up of young hounds, but also with some older hounds, set out at dawn, when the scent of a fox is easier to follow. The cubs are left exposed and defenceless.
