Last week we released our latest investigation showing footage of the Vale of White Horse Hunt deliberately and intentionally hunting a fox. Our cameras, placed at a farm in Wiltshire, show terriermen acting on behalf of the hunt, sending in a terrier dog to a hay barn to flush of a fox to be hunted. In then goes on to show the landowner, Verity Drewit (senior VWH hunt member) preventing the fox from taking refuge – all of the activites shown on camera are direct violations of the 2004 Hunting Act. The footage has been passed on to local authorities.
Then in October 2021 our undercover investigation into the Beaufort Hunt pressured the National Trust and other major landowners to ban the hunts for good. Now we urgently need your help to fund more vital investigations into illegal wildlife crime and expose those who persecute animals.
We are dedicated to ending fox hunting and all forms of wildlife abuse. That's why we're partnered with the Hunt Investigation Team (HIT) to expose those who persecute animals for the sheer fun of it. The highly skilled investigators are on standby to carry out multiple investigations this year and each one costs £3000.
The barbaric acts of these individuals, and their complete disregard for animal life, need to be highlighted to the public, and ultimately, these individuals need to be prosecuted for their actions.
Following the launch of any investigation we will be campaigning for the individual(s) involved to be prosecuted and for the authorities to serve a suitable punishment.
