Stratco - your customer service is pathetic
The issue
In 2010 we purchased a solar how water system from Stratco (Qld). In late 2015 one of the panels was damaged and the water had to be turned off (no hot water).
Stratco agreed the unit was under warranty but it then took them 2 months to finally replace the damaged panel. This was after the first replacement panel from Adelaide was damaged during transport. However to get this completed involved me having to constantly ring the company and hassle them (apparently the staff have no ability to make phone calls to customers themselves).
On the 15th October this year, the replacement panel started leaking (quite significant amounts of water) so again the system was shut down. The Ormeau office was called on the Monday morning (17th) followed by a visit a few hours later. I was advised that the matter had been referred back to Crestmead on the advice of the state manager as they had dealt with the previous event.
On Thursday (20th) I visited Crestmead and was told they had only just received the referral from Ormeau (didn't realise they still used pigeons for messages) but they would book the plumber and ring me back later that day (and no they still can't use a phone).
On Tuesday (25th Oct) I rang Crestmead and when I advised that I still hadn't seen or heard from the plumber (they seemed surprised) I was told they would chase it up and advise me that afternoon (that's right they still can't use a phone).
Well this time I am not going to sit around and patiently wait for them to drag it out over weeks, especially when it seems that there are no more panels of the required type available and a whole new unit would be required. I always thought I must have been the only dummy to buy a solar hot water system from Stratco.
So let's see if they can ignore this petition and all the publicity that comes from it.
