We won! Just like we demanded, DC sports are staying in DC. Don't ever doubt the power of the people! The news tried to make it seem like basketball and hockey teams move to Virginia was a done deal, but you never stopped believing--and neither did we. Thank you for adding your voice to this petition and for joining us in the freezing snow on January 15th for our MLK Day March and "Stop the Move" protest. Thanks to our neighbors across the river in Virginia with Stop the Arena for organizing with us. We learned a lot working side-by-side with you. We know it won't be the last time. United, we will never be muted--or defeated! Democracy lives. Let's go.
