A puppy mill is a commercial breeding facility that profits from mass dog and puppy sales. Often times, the dogs are never properly taken care of, and are kept in torturous conditions. The mother dogs are bred as soon as possible, and killed as soon as she cannot reproduce. These cruel conditions result in horrific animals being pumped out of these conditions. Without knowing, many parents succumb to their children's urge to buy puppies from the pet store, when in secret they are supporting a puppy mill.

 The Canadian Government recently turned down Bill-246, the Modernizing Animal Protections Act. This proposed bill would provide better living conditions for these dogs. We need to make the Canadian Federal Government pass this bill for the sake of these poor dogs.
