Es besteht Hoffnung für ein paar Orcas und Delfine in Gefangenschaft!!!

Die Regierung von Frankreich hat sich soeben dazu geäußert die Orcas Wikie and Kejo dem Whale Sanctuary Project nach Nova Scotia/Kanada zu übergeben.

Auch die verlassenen 30 Belugas aus Kanada sowie der Beluga Wal Bella aus Südkorea sollen aufgenommen werden.

Die Vorbereitungen des Gebietes sollen 2026 vollendet werden um die ersten Tiere aufzunehmen.

Für die Wale noch lange Zeit bis dahin, für die Menschen viel Zeitdruck. Und auch auf Spenden ist das Projekt angewiesen.

There is hope for some orcas and dolphins in captivity!!!

The French government has just announced that it will transfer the orcas Wikie and Kejo to the Whale Sanctuary Project in Nova Scotia, Canada.

The 30 abandoned belugas from Canada, as well as the beluga whale Bella from South Korea, will also be taken in.

Preparations for the area are scheduled to be completed in 2026 so that the first animals can be received.

That's a long way off for the whales, and a lot of time pressure for the people involved. The project also relies on donations.
