The limited set of sanctions the UK government has made on specific individuals in Israel do not go far enough in pressuring the Israeli government to change course. What is needed are comprehensive economic sanctions and a full arms embargo. 

If the UK could lead the way in this, others would certainly follow. Now is the time for firmer action.
