MEETING RESULTS: YUDC has refused to change the closure.

Following today's meeting between York University Development Corporation (YUDC) and Second Cup, it seems that the YUDC is unwilling to reconsider extending the lease for Second Cup.

Second Cup will close down February 2020.

It greatly disappoints me, that despite such an outpouring of support from ALL OF YOU - thousands of students, staff, and faculty, that the YUDC doesn't care about the community and a fair, transparent process.

YUDC is in God mode.

The other vendors at York Lanes leave the fate of their business helplessly in the firm grip of YUDC. I have personally witnessed how much of a heavy toll this has taken on the Taneja family. They depend on this business, like the Kapassouris family did with Blue Berry Hill before the closure by YUDC in 2012.

Both were integral parts of the community. To all of you who have signed, commented, & shared with your family and friends, on behalf of the Second Cup staff and Taneja family, I'd like to thank you deeply for all of the love...

It has made a impact on real people's lives.

Our efforts here are not lost, and are already helping the next chapter of the journey... :)
