On June 19, ahead of next week's shareholders' meeting, FoE Japan and the Pacific Asia Resource Center (PARC) visited Sumitomo Metal Mining's headquarters in Tokyo and submitted a petition along with the signatures we collected from you all!  

The signatures were collected from 1,571 individuals in 34 countries and 90 organizations in 40 countries by the initial deadline of June 18. Thank you very much for your cooperation! We would like to express our sincere gratitude once again.

The number of signatures on the petition site continues to grow.  
Responsible action from Sumitomo Metal Mining is being demanded by citizens around the world.
