3600 chemicals have been found in food due to processing and packaging, including PFAS and BPAs.  It should come as no surprise to readers of this petition,:  food contact chemicals move into food.  Many believe this is causing serious health issues.

But it's worse, because our wastes and food processing byproducts are also loaded with them.  When we land apply the wastes as fertilizer, we are then growing our food in those chemicals, contaminating them before we even start processing them, where even more gets added.  It's a feedback loop.
