-- ENGLISH TEXT BELOW -- Дорогие подписчики, Как вам, наверное, уже известно из местных новостей и статей в социальных сетях, Сенат штата Вашингтон все-таки принял резолюцию в ее первоначальном, крайне спорном виде. Изучив вопрос чуть глубже, мы выяснили, что внесение правок в текст резолюции возможно и после ее принятия. Именно этого мы и будем добиваться. Наши дальнейшие шаги заключатся в том, чтобы подготовить собственную версию резолюции, которую мы затем направим сенаторам. Параллельно с этим мы будем последовательно наращивать контакты в Олимпии, чтобы отныне наша община не оставалась в стороне от подобных решений. -- ENGLISH -- Dear signatories, As you probably already know from news and social media, the Washington State Senate, unfortunately, passed the Holodomor resolution in its original and highly controversial form. Having studied the legislative process a bit deeper, we realized that amendments to the resolution text can be made even after it is passed. This is the route we intend on pursuing. Our next steps are to draft own version of the resolution, which we will then pass along to the Senators. We will also work consistently to expand our reach in Olympia in order to assure that from now on our community is not left on the sidelines of such decisions.
