SUPPORT NEEDED!
JAN 27 1:00PM - Tentative date of next BCC meeting regarding Eastern Lake
Since the Public Workshop on Jan. 12 (in which it was made unanimously clear to local officials that zero development of any sort inside the Combined Parcel was our unified position) the general feeling is that the County is still adamant about pursuing their large-scale development project at Eastern Lake Inlet.
We expect that a Task Order will be brought before the Board of County Commissioners for a vote at the next meeting on Tuesday, January 27. The first Task Order will be about funding an engineering study, but once that is started, we fear the process will just gain momentum. Therefore, we have to stop it as early as possible, and we have precious little time to have any measurable effect.
Be Aware: This proposed San Roy turnaround + a multi-stall bathroom facility + an elaborate ADA compliant dune walkover will certainly alter or destroy the Last Remaining Sand Dune. Forever.
Required Action:
Call and email our County Commissioners
Keep prodding anyone you know to Sign the Petition
Share it forward to as many people as you can - think about your HOA email list, friends, neighboring HOAs

We have about 7 days to try to sway the voting Commissioners with public sentiment, which is based on a feeling of partnership and solutions, rather than on emotion alone.
