PETITION UPDATE: PHOTO FROM RECENT BLAST ACTIVITY 6/17/2026.

First, thank you to everyone who has signed, shared, commented, and helped spread the word. Your support has helped bring attention to this issue and encourage important community conversations. This photo was taken during Vulcan’s most recent blasting activity on June 17, 2026. This helps illustrate why many residents have concerns about expanding mining operations closer to existing neighborhoods, existing and planned residential developments, and future growth throughout Hardin Valley. As our community continues to grow, residents are asking important questions about air quality, airborne dust and particulate matter generated during quarry operations, blasting, traffic, public infrastructure, quality of life, the long-term future of Hardin Valley, and how far the effects of quarry activity may travel and be felt beyond the immediate area if this proposed nearly 60-acre expansion is approved. Please continue share the petition, and help spread the word. Please consider sharing why this issue matters to you in the comments with your signature. Personal stories and community perspectives help others understand the importance of this issue and the impact on our community. Thank you for your support!
