Shocking new NHS figures show that nearly 40% of cancer patients waited beyond the recommended 62-day treatment targets in just one month. These delays to treatment will cost thousands of lives. The waiting times are dangerously high and things continue to get worse.

Cancer will not wait. For every 4 weeks of delay to treatment, there is a 10% reduction in survival rates. This World Cancer Day, we need the Prime Minister to urgently make a radical intervention and to prioritise fixing the cancer backlog, or else more lives will be lost.
