Please help us to #CatchUpWithCancer by emailing your MP on this link asking them to sign our cross-party letter urging the Prime Minister to accept the true scale of the COVID cancer backlog and provide the investment to tackle it.

Just a few days ago we helped bring together cancer charities, clinicians, and patient representatives at a virtual Cancer Summit to launch the ‘Catch up with Cancer – The Way Forward’ report. We remain gravely concerned that currently Government and senior NHS leaders do not seem to accept the scale of the crisis and the need for urgent action and investment to prevent tens of thousands of cancer patients being lost unnecessarily.

Its main recommendations are that government should recognise the scale of the crisis, appoint a minister to oversee a national cancer recovery plan, invest in cancer services, infrastructure, diagnostic capacity, workforce and listen to frontline staff and implement innovative solutions and better IT structure. The cancer community is brimming with life saving ideas. But without the required investment and leadership from the top they will remain just that, ideas. That is why we need as many MPs as possible to sign the cross-party letter. Help us to get them on board!
