Thank you for your continued support for our #CatchUpWithCancer campaign - we urgently need the Government to act to save thousands of lives. If you or your family have been affected by cancer at this difficult time, please consider sharing a short video via the Catch Up With Cancer WhatsApp to be used to appeal to Matt Hancock directly.

A few weeks ago, we asked our supporters to share with us any experiences they had of delays in cancer diagnosis and treatment which had resulted from the response to Covid-19. We received a huge number of stories, by cancer patients themselves or their loved ones, with many of them tragic.  It is clear to us that so many families in the UK are suffering.

As part of the campaign we need the Government to understand the impact of these delays which have caused a cancer backlog, and we want to give those suffering a chance to send the Government a message. This is even more urgent now as the second wave is upon us. In our experience raising awareness of these individual stories is one of the best ways to make an impact with policymakers and enact change. We are therefore asking, if you feel able, to WhatsApp us a short video message addressed to The Secretary of Health and Social Care, Matt Hancock MP, urging him to take action and to #CatchUpWithCancer. You may want to tell your story or say why you feel so strongly. We ask that the video is approximately a minute long and that there be no bad language.

The instructions on how to do this and how your video may be used are below.

Thank you again and we wish you all the best,

Craig & Mandy and the #CatchUpWithCancer Team

We know that a minute or so isn’t long to get across the magnitude of the issues you or your family are likely experiencing, but for technical reasons, we cannot use clips that are many minutes long - we are sure your message will be very powerful even if short.
