The Issue

Ordinary people have been hit with £60–£100 “fines” for doing absolutely nothing wrong.

Euro Parks operates car parks at leisure centres across the UK. Many of these centres: cinemas, restaurants, gyms, games venues, promise free parking for a set number of hours. Consoles inside the venues let customers enter their car registration details to register for that free parking.

But here’s the trap:

Until recently, Euro Parks’ consoles showed the time at which your free parking ended. But Euro Parks was calculated your free-parking period from the moment you entered your registration, not from the time you actually arrived.

In real life, families may spend a long time entering the venue, taking children to the toilet, buying tickets, or simply queuing before reaching the console.

The result? Maybe hundreds — perhaps thousands — of customers who stayed well within the advised free-parking period they were told by euro parks they were fined anyway.

Euro Parks knows about this problem. They’ve now changed their system. But they have refused to refund the money they wrongly collected.

We believe this is unfair, unethical and potentially unlawful. People deserve their money back.

By signing this petition you’re calling on:

Euro Parks to immediately identify and reimburse every single customer wrongly fined under the old system.

Leisure centre partners (cinemas, restaurants, gyms) to back their customers and demand refunds on their behalf.

Government and consumer protection bodies to investigate and ensure companies cannot profit from faulty or misleading parking systems.

This is about fairness. It’s about families who trusted the rules and got punished anyway. It’s about holding companies accountable when their systems fail.

Please add your name now and help us win justice for every innocent customer hit by these fines.
