I went to Edgewood City Hall Tuesday night to make a public comment at the council meeting. There were only 2 council members, John West and Jason Ramirez who showed up in person at the meeting along with the Mayor Dave Olson. All the other council members were on a zoom call. I had some handouts for the council members to reference while I spoke for my 3 minutes.

NOT A GOOD LOOK when the people who are supposed to be representing the citizens don't want to take the time to drive to a council meeting.

I presented the attending council members a copy of an infraction I recently received in the mail for passing in front of Northwood Elementary at 25mph.  After presenting and reading them a multiple choice questionnaire (picture attached),  I told them my answer:

"I chose Number 6 because you can't identify a person with a license plate"

I then explained that there are 3,000,000 more licensed drivers in Washington than registered vehicles, statistically there is only a 48% chance the owner is driving.

In this country, the government can't accuse a citizen of something without evidence.

I then presented them with the Minnesota State Supreme Court UNANIMOUS ruling which declared traffic cameras programs unconstitutional. Minnesota Supreme Court Strikes Down Red Light Cameras.pdf

So far, no one at the city has disputed the concept that the city is violating people rights.
