Sadly, after a year of attempting to work with PA Senator Lisa M. Boscola, she refuses to take a stand on this issue, per her Chief of Staff. It is unfortunate that our elected official refuses to support her constituents, especially since part of her mission is "working to improve the lives of Lehigh Valley residents." We are incredibly appreciative of Representatives Bob Freeman and Joe Emrick, among many others who are not afraid to take a stand and protect the communities they have been elected to serve, as well as the PA Constitution's Green Amendment Article 1 Section 27:
"Also known as the Green Amendment, establishes the public's right to clean air and pure water, and to the preservation of the environment's natural, scenic, historic, and aesthetic values. It declares Pennsylvania's public natural resources as the "common property of all the people," including future generations, and serves as a constitutional trust that requires the government to protect these resources. This amendment has been used to challenge government actions that would degrade the environment, and it obligates the Commonwealth to refrain from permitting or encouraging the degradation of public natural resources."
