Tragically, two young men have recently lost their lives at the intersection of Fowler and Perrin, just eight days apart. These heartbreaking accidents have devastated their families and friends. ABC 30 has done a commendable job covering their stories (click here). I’m praying that no more families have to endure such devastating losses before safety improvements are made to Fowler Avenue. The current infrastructure cannot safely support traffic as it stands, much less the traffic from the 2,200 new residential units proposed just up Perrin Road. Imagine all the additional children who will be navigating Fowler Avenue on their bikes in the future if this project moves forward as planned. These roads are already dangerous for vehicles and are far from suitable for pedestrians. Please reach out to Nathan Magsig (Fresno County Supervisor for the area) and the Clovis City Council to voice your concerns. Tell them not to direct any more traffic down Perrin/Fowler and ask the county to put in a stop sign at the intersection of Fowler and Perrin. Tell others about this petition.
