Hello defender of bobcats!
Words cannot express my gratitude for signing and sharing this petition to protect the vulnerable native bobcats of Indiana! We have over 400 signatures and are moving fast toward the 500 mark! Let's make these politicians aware that the people of Indiana, and of this country, do not support the needless slaughter of this protected species. Furthermore, this bill was fast-tracked, and is not in the best interest of anyone in the State of Indiana, much less the native bobcat who is fighting for survival, with limited habitat and trophy hunters gunning for them, literally!
This fight is not over! The next Natural Resources Commission meeting on April 23 will address this bill and the forced hunting season that it advocates as soon as next summer, 2025. I will reach out and update you on what happens at that meeting.
Please continue to share this petition and encourage others to do the same. Together, we will stop this undemocratic bill and send the trophy hunters home, away from the precious bobcat who is an integral part of the native ecosystem in the region.
My heartfelt thanks,
Eileen Mark
