CALL FOR ACTION !!
The City Manager of City of Spartanburg, SC  is on the Agendas-Minutes to address the Mayor and City Council Members at the Spartanburg City Council Meeting on Monday evening, August 25th, regarding "options for the Clock Tower."
City Manager, Chris Story, and the members of the Design Review Board Committee's plans are to relocate/remove/demolish it under their Redesign Morgan Square Plans.
A letter was sent to the SC Attorney General's Office this past week by my District House Representative seeking "to take the necessary action to ensure that the Spartanburg Downtown Clock Tower is permanently protected under the Heritage Act."  - I have copy of the letter in hand!
City Manager has commented for us to just "sue the City to get to the bottom of it."
We patiently await response from the SC Attorney General, Alan Wilson.

Please call or email your own district House Representative to ask them to Support the Spartanburg Clock Tower from Relocation by contacting the SC Attorney General to request he take action to protect the Clock Tower under the SC Heritage Act as it was erected by the Bicentennial Committee as the Bi-Centennial Project school children participated in, led by former Mayor Stoddard in the mid 1970's.

Also, PLEASE JOIN US at the City Council Meeting at 5pm for the City Council Meeting to support and speak up to save the Spartanburg Downtown Clock Tower!
The Meeting starts promptly at 5:30pm but please be there by 5pm.

Thank you all!

I look forward to seeing you there!
