It reveals that both Hoj and Lloyd have made failed attempts at the merger in the past, where they have both tried to use the process to become VC of the merged university.  Hoj has also tried unsuccessfully to become Chancellor of UoA in the past.

This casts doubt on the independence and probity of the current merger.

If you are concerned or outraged by this, please email the above article to the Chancellor of the university you are connected with, demanding an independent commission for total transparency.

If you believe the process so far displays maladministration, also consider writing to your MP to express grave concern.

The Councils decide this weekend so it is important to move quickly.
