The first step down the slipper slope has been taken!

At 3pm today 21st February 2025 Apple stopped Advanced Data Protection being turned on for new users on Apple devices for those of us living in the UK.

Apple intend to turn off Advanced Data Protection for those of us in the UK who already had this feature turned on.

A cyber-security expert at Surrey University - said it was a "very disappointing development" which amounted to "an act of self harm" by the government.

All the UK government has achieved today is to weaken online security and privacy for UK based Apple users.

This Government’s demands of Apple is just the start, they will request the same from Google for Android devices, Microsoft, Meta who ownFacebook and Whatsapp.

We need to push and promote this petition far and wide, we can still make this government see sense and allow our privacy and security to remain intact!
