THE ISSUE

The WA Labor Government plans to build a permanent motor racing track through the park for Supercars Australia, a private company. This will destroy precious parkland, drain lakes, kill wildlife—including endangered long-necked tortoises—impact 40,000+ nearby residents, and remove one of Perth’s last inner-city green spaces.

We’re simply asking the Government to honour its own Burswood Park Vision (2023), which promoted an urban forest, cultural places and cycling tracks—NOT a racetrack. There has been no genuine community consultation, and Perth already has multiple motorplexes.
