How is the ABC who are pushing the misinformation bill are allowed to spread misinformation?

Today’s article in the ABC ridiculously claims 6 people will die a year in Queensland and it will cost the state millions of dollars.

(They have just made this up no one in Australia has ever died from fireant bites and they have been here for twenty years) 

It feels like they are running the same fear campaign they did during Covid to get their mandates through. 

The poisons have been banned in Europe but they are dumping them here. 

Honeybees , wasps and our own indigenous ants are a lot deadlier than fireants but no fear campaign about them. 

The article fails to give a value to peoples health or ecology.  These  insecticides linked to endocrine disruption, cancer, and reproductive issues.

 These chemicals harm indigenous ants, native bees, and other non-target species. Pet dogs have been killed.

The best way non toxic way to kill fireant nests is with steam of hot water. 

Before agrochemicals giants took over the mainstream narrative and on the back of dogs dying I was interviewed about these poisons.
