Just look at these two poor chickens. What a sad state they are in. They are so stressed that they have plucked their feathers and are almost bald.

This is not unusual in factory farms where birds are  caged or "free range", which basically means they are not caged but are in large barns (warehouses) where thousands are forced to live in very poor conditions. They are also made to grow faster than they would naturally and their bones are not sufficiently formed and strong enough to hold their weight.

This means that very often these chickens are unable to walk far enough to get water from the feeders and therefore die a slow agonising death!
