I am blown away by the massive support we have received for this petition to stop Mayvers Foods from using soft plastic in their peanut butter and pet category range.

We are yet to receive a reply from Mayvers Foods on this issue, but we know they are listening and taking notice.

We believe now is the time for Mayvers Foods to review its dangerous plan to use soft plastic in its spreads and pet category range.

It was also a highlight to receive a personal message from someone who signed the petition this week and lives with a disability.

They shared with me that the soft plastic pouches are not accessible to them, which makes it harder for them to access the spread.

In addition, a National Disability Insurance Scheme provider and advocate for those in the community shared that accessible products must be made from recycled or recyclable materials. We can achieve both goals and do not need to divide the community or planet as Mayvers attempted to do in its social media responses.
