Vigil Tomorrow Night & Deer Art Contest Extended

VIGIL FOR CATALINA ISLAND DEER TOMORROW NIGHT!

Tomorrow night, we will gather for a candlelight vigil for Catalina’s deer.

Our community is stretched thin right now, and we hope this can be a peaceful evening to come together to honor the deer who have already been lost, stand together for those still at risk, and remind one another that this community has not stopped caring or paying attention. We are especially grateful to Cindi Alvitre who will join us and speak tomorrow evening.

7:00 pm -- Front Street Stage -- Candles, hot chocolate, and something sweet will be provided.

Please join us if you can. All are welcome.

YOUTH ART CONTEST -- DEADLINE EXTENDED!
An update on our kids’ deer art contest: thank you to everyone who has submitted artwork so far! With all of the preparation for tomorrow’s vigil, we have not had enough time to give the entries the attention they deserve, so we are extending the deadline!

Please encourage the young artists in your life to participate. We would love to see their drawings, paintings, collages and other creations inspired by Catalina’s deer.

New deadline: October 12!

Winners will be announced and PRIZES awarded at our October 22 Deer and Dine Fundraiser.
