We are asking the following elected officials to take immediate action to protect families in Western Pennsylvania:
Rep. Mandy Steele — PA House District 33
→ Our district representative in Harrisburg, responsible for advocating for our communities and ensuring state programs like LIHEAP continue during shutdowns.
Rep. Joanna McClinton — Speaker, PA House of Representatives
→ Holds the authority to prioritize emergency protections in the state legislative agenda.
Sen. Jay Costa — PA Senate Minority Leader
→ Represents local communities in Allegheny County and can support funding safeguards for vulnerable families.
Sen. Bob Casey — U.S. Senate, Pennsylvania
→ Oversees federal funding that affects SNAP accessibility and continuation during shutdowns.
Sen. John Fetterman — U.S. Senate, Pennsylvania
→ Influences federal benefits that protect working families and seniors from hunger and unsafe winter living conditions.
Rep. Chris Deluzio — U.S. House, Pennsylvania District 17
→ Represents much of our region at the federal level and is positioned to push for urgent relief measures in Congress.
Shutdown or not — families still need to eat. Families still need heat. We need these leaders to act before this crisis gets worse.
