Finally Chief Middleton, LT Porter and Officer Wiggins had a meeting on 8/7/23 regarding my proposal for this petition. 

Officer Wiggins sent me an email advising me that they would all 3 meet with me. I requested their availability to make myself available. He informed me that he is trying to schedule the meeting this week. 

Since I have no updates or a summary on how their meeting went about the petition and proposal, I do not know at all what they will discuss with me. I am going in blind, but at least we finally have some movement after 3 months from the time I sent my proposal, and 5 months after the petition started. 

Animals should become a priority. I will keep this petition open until an acceptable compromise is reached. As citizens there should be more transparency and knowledge on how our city ordinance is managed and controlled. Every processes should be clearly managed. Waiting 5 months to understand how a process (city ordinance) is managed only shows that there are no controls or overseeing of the ordinance. A process without clear KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and Controls is nothing. That is what I am arguing for a more proactive approach, better and more transparent approach to our city ordinance by the people in charge.
