RALLY 2 UPDATE:
First off, apologies about not giving y'all an update on how the rally went - apparently you have to click post when your update is ready, whoops.
it was a very successful day! We had more community members in attendance than our first rally and lots of new faces, which is great to see. I know there were some folks who couldn't make it due to a variety of reasons but we want to thank you for your support even if you couldn't be there in person. It means a great deal that we've had so much support from the community as such a small group of people with limited time, energy, and resources - so thank you again!
We had some great speeches from Councillor for City of Marion, Sarah Luscombe, and several community members who spoke of the need for our Government to protect our environment, listen to the will of the people, and curb the spread of fascism. We also had extra support from photographer, Eoghan O'Neill, who took photos and video for us. As well as some excellent posters made by local art collective PullTogetherPrinting, which can be seen in the image accompanying this post.
See our next update for further news.
