Last night, a major step was taken in our shared fight for justice.

APPEAL and Justice launched the #PayUp4TimeSpent campaign inside the UK Parliament, calling for proper compensation for the innocent people who’ve lost years of their lives to wrongful convictions — people like me, and possibly like many of you reading this.

Today, many of us are released without apology, without compensation, and without dignity. We are left to rebuild from nothing — often under surveillance, in temporary housing, and without any recognition of the time stolen from us.
