Dear supporters,

I wanted to share an important update in my fight for justice. On 17 December 2021, my former barrister, David Burgess, sent an official email to the Court of Appeal that misrepresented my defence in Count 1. Instead of maintaining my consistent position that the alleged sexual offence never occurred, he shifted the argument to one of consent — a move I never approved and that changed the entire course of my case.

I have now officially filed a complaint with the Bar Standards Board (BSB) against Mr. Burgess.

🔎 Why it matters:
This is not about a legal technicality — this is about truth. My position was reframed without my agreement, weakening my defence and enabling a wrongful conviction. When even your own defence undermines you, how can you receive a fair trial?

My original defence statement, asserting the act never took place.
The email chain where Mr. Burgess confirms his reframing of the issue.
A support letter from the Innocence Project London, acknowledging the serious discrepancy between my position and what was argued in court.
🧱 This complaint is one more brick in the wall I’m building to expose the layers of institutional failure that led to my conviction.
