On Monday, June 22, we walked into the Office of the BC Ombudsperson with a printed complaint and petition package in hand — including 663 signatures from people calling for accountability at Saanich City Hall.

And guess what?

Since then, the petition has climbed to 689 signatures.

That means even after the package was delivered, more people kept stepping forward to say: Yes. This matters.

The timing could not have been better. While we were literally on our way to the Ombudsperson’s office, we received an email asking us to confirm whether we still wanted to proceed with our complaint.

Our answer: Absolutely. Yes. Please proceed.

The Ombudsperson’s office has confirmed that our complaint will continue to move forward in the order it was received. But they still haven't made the official decision to investigate. 

So we need to keep the pressure on them!
