First, thank you to everyone who signed and shared this petition. Your support helped us reach a major milestone — the Howard County Board of Appeals granted conditional approval for our son’s private go-kart training track.

Unfortunately, the fight did not end there.

A group of neighbors opposed to the track has now appealed that lawful approval to the Howard County Circuit Court (Case No. C-13-CV-25-001191). This means a long and costly court process, even though we followed the rules and earned approval.

At the center of this is still a 12-year-old child who has sacrificed weekends, birthdays, and time with friends to chase his dream of becoming a professional race car driver. This track is not a business — it’s a safe place for him to train at home.

We have already spent over $100,000 navigating the approval process, and this appeal will require significant additional legal costs. We never wanted this, but we cannot walk away.
