Over the next week or so, I will be compiling additional pure, evidence- based facts on the environmental effects the company involving (including SSA Marine recent projects), and what the full development process would entail. My goal is to ensure that if this reaches public hearings before the planning commission or board of county commissioners, residents of manatee county have clear, tailored information on the damages to our local environment and our local economy.

To help mobilize the community awareness yard signs with a qr code linking directly to this petition opposing the project will appear all over manatee county. I encourage everyone that reads this to please educate friends and family about how damaging this will be to our local area and economy. I encourage the County to hold early, transparent public engagement sessions and require a full Environmental Impact Statement under federal guidelines. 

I respectfully urge the Development Services, Planning commission, and commissioners to carefully weigh these risks and protect this irreplicable part of our natural heritage for future generations.
