PAUSE. Sparrow-effect on parking and traffic flow calls for re-evaluation of approved Downtown plan

Write a short email to your Village board NOW: ask them to re-evaluate the elimination of parking spots on our critical slip-lane. Their plan to decrease parking spots from 8 to only 5 (from proven, diagonal to harder-to-maneuver parallel parking) is rushed and untested, is detrimental to traffic flow and is simply short-sighted. Cementing over 3 more valuable parking spaces, ones that will be used every Winter, for all of our businesses, is NOT a good plan, especially now considering the widely predicted & obviously increased demand on our overall parking from Sparrow customers flocking to our Village!
Please PAUSE and re-evaluate because flexibility is needed in Clarendon Hills for varied winter and summer needs over time.
Write: VillageBoard@ClarendonHills.us and ask them to PAUSE, assess and test before ruining our proven, downtown flow, our storefront parking and our safe vehicle and pedestrian passages so close to our only train crossing. Just PAUSE.
